Tensfeldt Shelter

2009 Improvements

The recently installed play structure was donated to the City of Jefferson by Fort Community Credit Union and the Optimist Club.  The City of Jefferson would like to thank both organizations for this wonderful addition to the Park.

The landscaping around the Tensfeldt Park Shelter was spearheaded by Keegan Moldenhauer as a Boy Scout Eagle Project.  This project enabled Keegan to complete his Eagle Rank requirements!  We would also like to thank Keegan, and those who donated, for the beauty that they have added to the Park.

(About the project...Keegan raised money to purchase 14 trees that surround the Tensfeldt Picnic Pavilion.  They were then planted by Troop 147 on may 3, 2009.  In conjunction with the Jefferson Parks & Recreation Dept, the following individuals help make this project possible:  McKay Nursery, Jefferson Community Fund, The Rotary Club, Kiwanis, Jefferson United Soccer Club, Dave Fischer, Premier Bank, Tyson Foods, Briggs & Stratton and Del & Janet Moldenhauer.)
