THE JEFFERSON POLICE DEPARTMENT
Jefferson Police Department Information/Structure
The City of Jefferson is located in central Jefferson
County Wisconsin, midway between Madison and Milwaukee, five miles South of
I-94 on Highway 26. The population, according to the 2010 census, is
7,865. The Rock and Crawfish rivers come together in the middle of town and
the city has many amenities to offer travelers and businesses alike. Check

On November 13, 2001 we moved into a new building
located at 425 Collins Road. Through the foresight of the City Council,
this building will provide the space needed to continue the professional
police services that the community has come to expect for many years to
come. Our phone number is 674-7707 (911 for emergency’s). Dispatch hours
are: 7:00am to 11:00pm Monday thru Friday and 8:00am to 4:00pm on weekends.
Other times we are dispatched thru the Jefferson County Sheriff’s
Department.
The department itself consists of Chief Gary Bleecker,
Captain Michael Drew, Lieutenant Dale Lutz, 1 Detective, 10 full time
patrol officers, 3 part time officers, 2 full time dispatchers, 2 part time
dispatchers, an Office Secretary and Typist. For a full listing of
